A lassi is a traditional Indian yogurt based drink usually made with water, fruit and spices. This variation is packed full of nutrients and anti-inflammatory ingredients to create healthy digestion. In addition to yogurt, mango turmeric, cinnamon, lime and coconut water I also add banana for sweetness and creaminess and a spoonful of maca for an energy boost.
Mango – Contains vitamins A, C & D, beta-carotene, antioxidants, good for digestion,
Greek yogurt – High in probiotics which is great for healthy digestion, high in calcium, a good source of essential fatty acids and protein.
Turmeric – The most anti-inflammatory ingredient on the planet! Supports the immune system, improves digestion, contains vitamin C & B 1,2 &3, calcium, zinc and other important minerals.
Maca – High in calcium, protein, many essential minerals & vitamins, contain antioxidants, amino acids, fatty acids, carbohydrates, dietary fiber and plant sterols.
- 1 1/2 cups Frozen mango
- Juice from 1 lime
- 1/2 cup Plain *Favorite brand - whole Greek yogurt Straus organic plain Greek yogurt
- 2 teaspoons Maca powder
- 1 Banana
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1/8 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Coconut Water
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
